1st Day Experience - We landed in Bangkok in the early morning from Kolkata. Our connecting flight to Krabi was scheduled around 5 hours later, which was enough time for getting the on-arrival Visa done. All formalities were complete in an hour and we had ample time to have breakfast in a Burger King outlet in Don Muang Airport itself.
Before getting into the domestic terminal for catching the flight to Krabi, I bought a local SIM card. It was activated on the spot and the net connection was smooth. I contacted Deepak of Parbhat Travels and let him know that we were as per schedule. I was worried whether the person who was supposed to pick us up from Krabi airport would be there when we arrive or not. Deepak told me to not worry about it. I wasn't so sure though, travel agents are supposed to talk this way, right? But I would realize later that on the trip that Deepak for once wouldn't lapse from what he had promised. His meticulous planning made our holidays very smooth and tension-free. Anyway, I digressed.
When we reached Krabi, a person from the Ao Nang Beach Hotel was already there with my wife's name written on a board. We met and he took us to the hotel in a car.
All of us loved the hotel a lot. It was a beautiful hotel, roomy and clean and luxurious. A swimming pool connected all the rooms in the hotel in a unique design.
After we had a quick swimming session in the pool, we headed out for Ao Nang Beach. The hotel had their own shuttle service which operated every couple of hours to and fro to the beach. We hopped on to the 3 pm shuttle.

2nd Day Experience - Deepak informed us the day before to be ready by 9 o'clock in the morning for the 4 Islands tour in Krabi. Accordingly we had a quick breakfast in the morning and waited for the vehicle to pick us up from the hotel lobby. The vehicle came in time and we were taken to the Nopparat Thara Pier.
Our tour started in a long boat with other travelers from various countries. We visited 4 Islands throughout the day. The island beaches were the most beautiful beaches I had ever seen before. We had pre-packed lunch at one of the beaches as packed by the tour operator. We also did snorkeling near Chicken Island. When the tour was done, we were dropped off to our respective hotels.
3rd Day Experience - We started for Phuket by road around 10 o'clock in the morning as arranged by Mr. Deepak Koundal.
It took almost 4 hours to reach Phuket and one more hour to reach the hotel which was just 10 minutes walk from the famous Patong Beach. Thanks to Deepak, we could just walk from the hotel anytime we wanted to be at the beach.
We left our luggage in the hotel and went to the Patong Beach for lunch and water sports. We did water-scooter rides. Had lunch at a beachside restaurant and spent at the beach till the lights died down. It started raining after the sunset. We roamed around the beach side markets for shopping and came back to hotel only after dinner at an Indian restaurant.
4th Day Experience - We went to the famous Phi Phi Island tour today in a cruise ship named Asean Cruise.
The tour started with the tour operator (pre-booked by Deepak Koundal) picked us up from the hotel. The big cruise ship had more than 300 people on it, it seemed.
The cruise ship took us to Phi Phi Island where we got down for local sightseeing. Before landing onto this island we also skirted around the famous Maya Bay. The place had been closed for tourists, so we couldn't land on it.
We swam in the Phi Phi island sea. We had enough time to roam around the small island. Few people went for snorkeling from here in separate boats. Everyone again met for a sumptuous lunch at the Phi Phi Hotel around 1 pm. Once the lunch was done, we boarded the same cruise ship for our return trip.
5th Day Experience - We went to Bangkok in a flight from Phuket. Had a leisurely day strolling around shopping centres. Bought clothings and leather bags which you can find at a very reasonable price at Bangkok. Thanks to Dipak, we stayed very close to the market and could just walk to the malls.
The evening was spent in the Bangkok river cruise dinner party on Cho Phraya River. It was a memorable experience with delicious food and Bollywood music!
